| My client specialise in the provision of maritime consultancy services to a wide range of UK clients, from their offices in Glasgow and Dingwall. They have a successful record of over 30 years of innovative design, frequently in some of the most remote and beautiful areas of the country. To assist in their increasing workload they are looking to recruit a Graduate Civil or Structural Engineer to be based at their friendly and relaxed office in Dingwall. They currently hold a three year contract with The Highland Council as their preferred consultant for Marine Works and for Coastal Protection Works. A range of other Clients includes Councils such as Western Isles, Aberdeen shire and North Ayrshire, Harbour Authorities such as Cromarty, Mallaig and Fraserburgh, Limited Companies such as Aggregate Industries and Associated British Ports, Contractors undertaking Design and Build work, and many local public groups promoting marine works projects. Graduate Engineers should have a degree in either Civil or Structural Engineering and will have preferably some post graduate experience, you should be familiar with the design of structures in reinforced concrete and steel, you should have knowledge of relevant design software. Candidates should be seeking to develop their skills as marine works designers and should be keen in progressing towards Chartered status. In return you will be offered an attractive salary and excellent working conditions, contributory pension scheme, a bonus scheme and generous and flexible holiday allowances. Successful candidates may be offered the opportunity to train as commercial divers (if they wish), although it should be noted that they employ both diving and non-diving engineering staff and this is not a requirement for the post. |
