    Skilled Shift Operator

    My client requires:

    Work on a continuous five man/three-shift pattern.

    Provide absence and holiday cover within the three-shift system as part of a flexible team approach. Provide an appropriate response to emergency situations whilst on shift. Carry out other duties as deemed appropriate by the Client Account Manager or his representative.



    Essential:

    Qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, Control or trade discipline

    Excellent communication skills (written, telephone manner/verbal/face to face)Strong customer care focus

    Strong PC skills, Liaise and co-operate with site technicians, Client personnel, fellow operators, other mobile support staff, support teams, sub contractors and the Client Account Manager,
    Be pro active and capable of anticipating process issues

    Self motivating, Strong team player

    Skills and experience

    Knowledge/experience/qualification of steam raising plant & associated systems and technology.
    Knowledge of PLCs/computer control systems advantageous. Other associated electrical, mechanical and control skills.
    ECDL qualification advantageous.
    Knowledge of continuous process equipment – water treatment technology especially
    Knowledge of Health & Safety statutory legislation and requirements. Knowledge of ISO management systems – 9001, 14000 and so on a
    Broad range of technical disciplines

    Full driving license

    To take a proactive approach to customer liaison and ensure concerns and issues are dealt with or relayed promptly so as to ensure the smooth running of the overall contract. To operate the thermal and aqueous treatment plants on site in accordance with the standard operating procedures and all relevant H&S statutory requirements. To safely and efficiently operate all plant & equipment to ensure all KPIs are met. To draw samples and test as required to ensure the optimal running of all plant and equipment. Record and document all process information and analysis as required. Ensure plant is operated so as to provide steady supply of in specification utilities to client facility. To be involved in plant continuous improvement activities.

    To ensure and maintain a superior level of aesthetics and housekeeping in and around the plant, equipment and buildings. To carry out preliminary front-line diagnostic, fault finding and maintenance to plant and equipment. Adhere to all Company & Client Safety, Health, Environment and Quality procedures. Complete and comply with all administration work.
