An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Bridges Engineer to join an established Civil Engineering company based out of their office in Inverness.
The team in Inverness currently undertakes a wide variety of projects where highways, Bridges and Structural engineering skills are required. They wish to strengthen the team in Inverness through the appointment of a chartered or near chartered engineer with experience in bridges and a strong interest in structural engineering in general.
The key objective for this position is to assist the team to grow their local client base.
Normal everyday duties will include
- Bridge inspection and assessment work as well as detailed bridge and structural design and the checking of designs undertaken by others.
- The ability to work effectively within a small local team
- A good working knowledge of current British Standards and Codes of Practice is essential
- When new project opportunities are identified, participation in the prospect proposal is likely where the preparation and checking of estimates of the time required to deliver elements of the tender will be required.
Job Requirements
- Skill and experience in Bridge and general structural analysis.
- Ideally candidates should already be full members of the Institution of Civil Engineers or hold and honours or masters degree in Civil engineering.
- BEng Hons or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering
